Iqbal originally trained as an auditor with BDO International. He worked with firm’s key clients based in the UK, Germany and Dubai. He specialised in International Financial Reporting Standards and advised large clients in aviation and banking on internal control, financial management and IFRS implementation. In Australia he worked with Crowe Horwath (ASX- CRH) in senior audit positions. He also assisted Victorian Auditor General’s Office in completing audits of health sector. Supported by a highly specialised and dedicated audit team, Iqbal’s fields of expertise include: the preparation of financial statements compliant with International Financial Reporting Standards and other disclosure regimes; due diligence reviews; litigation support; internal controls reviews; trust account audits; grant acquittals; and self managed super fund audit.

Outside of work, Iqbal volunteers his time as Justice of Peace and is actively involved with community work. He loves spending time with his family and friends.
